Established in the tradition of providing a living record of the legacy of our graduates, parents and friends, The Old West Society recognizes those individuals who have provided future support to Dickinson College through their estate and/or life income plans.
Because of the forethought of these outstanding individuals, each year estate and life income gifts add significantly to the financial stability and health of the college; providing support for scholarships, academic and student initiatives among others. Informing the college of your plans helps us to recognize your commitment as a member of the Old West Society and it also helps us understand how you want us to use your gift.
Notification of your intentions need not be more than a simple statement that you have included Dickinson in your estate plans for a certain amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residual of your estate. You may also choose to share the page of your will referencing Dickinson if you are comfortable doing so.
Benefits of membership include invitations to special events and seminars as well as annual recognition in the Report of Gifts. If you would like to speak with someone at the college regarding your plans, or how you might become a member of the Old West Society, please contact us.
